It was a good Sunday morning! This is Cora’s second litter and she proved what an awesome whelper she is with her first litter last Fall. She delivered her first puppy in the early morning not long after she had been let out to go potty. She was done with all 12 by mid-afternoon. I stayed home from church to monitor her progress, keep her area clean with frequent whelping pad changes and be sure all the puppies were doing well and beginning to nurse. She actually unknowingly slipped one out during one of our pad changes, but I was right there to remove the sack and get the puppy breathing. All puppies are thriving and really gave me a run for my money while trying to photograph them at almost 4 days old. They are strong and wiggly and healthy.
